Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp
We make this lemon garlic butter shrimp and asparagus skillet at least once a week. You can stir steamed cauliflower rice through the buttery sauce for a heartier dinner if you’re extra hungry.

To make the garlic butter shrimp recipe: buy shrimp (or prawns) already deveined, shelled, and cleaned, and you have yourself such an easy shrimp recipe to prepare. You can use shrimp with tails on or off – We like to keep the tail on for aesthetic purposes ;)
Try as much as possible to buy wild-caught shrimp. Look for medium to large-sized shrimps, because they tend to stay juicier.
Using frozen shrimp is okay for this recipe, but fresh wild-caught shrimp tends to have a better flavor overall.

This easy garlic butter shrimp with asparagus is succulent and makes the perfect quick, healthy dinner when you don’t have much time to cook! Here are a few tips for the best shrimp recipe ever:
- You can save time when cooking asparagus by blanching them first in boiling water for 2 minutes then soaking them in ice water to stop cooking. Then you can saute asparagus as per the recipe. You’ll get your asparagus crisp-tender quicker.

These shrimps with asparagus will keep for up to 2 days in an airtight container in your refrigerator. Reheat gently covered in a skillet, with a few drops of water to loosen the sauce.

I made this about a year ago and it was delicious. My husband loved it. I recently found out that I am allergic to shrimp but not scallops. Can I use scallops instead of shrimp?

Fantastic recipe! I used a little more liquid than the recipe called for because I wanted to make sure I had enough to lend some flavor to the rice I was serving it with. My husband remarked I make shrimp better than in the restaurants but I just followed the timing presented here. Perfectly cooked! Asparagus as well...tender crisp. So much delicious flavor. Highly recommend.

This was amazing! I've been dieting and looking for something healthy and delicious... and this did the trick! I did add more spice than it called for, spicy and delcious! It did take a few more than 20 min due to the prep, but best healthy meal I've had in a while!
