FFXIV Endwalker Manderville relic weapon guide, quest, and steps (2025)

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker now has its relic weapon, legendary tools made by Godbert Manderville and Gerolt, two masters of their crafts.

The final forms of these Manderville weapons are the best weapons in the expansion, so it’s recommended to make one for the job you main, and maybe more for other jobs you like.

Relic Weapons, explained

Relic weapons are specialty weapons that look beautiful and typically have a unique glowing animation. After upgrading the weapon several times over the span of several patches, you’ll have the best weapon in Endwalker as a trophy for your hard work. Usually, the amount of work you’ll need to put forth to get this weapon is huge, but the Endwalker relic weapons just require you to dump your tome currency into an NPC.

Endwalker relic weapon prerequisites

Before you start the relic weapon quest, you actually need to finish all of the Manderville side quests. There’s a set of quests for each expansion (except Shadowbringers) and you have to do them in order. Once one set finishes, credits will roll, and the gang will show up in a new area. The first Manderville quest in each expansion is as follows:

In order to do the expansion’s Hildebrand quest, you have to have completed the base main scenario quest of that expansion. For example, you can’t do “A Hingan Tale: Nashu Goes Eat” until you finished the MSQ titled “Stormblood.”

In addition, whatever job you want your relic weapon for needs to be at level 90. Once you have all this squared away, you can actually start making your relic weapon.

Step 1: How to make a Manderville weapon

This is the base of your relic weapon. It’s item level 615 and this part of the relic weapon quest line was added in patch 6.25. To get this weapon, talk to the NPC below as the job you want the weapon for:

  1. After talking to Godbert, head to Jubrunnah near the main Aetheryte in Radz-at-Han.
  2. Exchange Allagan Tomestones of Poetics for 3 Manderium Meteorites. One meteorite costs 500 tomes.
  3. Turn the Manderium Meteorites in to Gerolt to get your relic weapon.

That’s it! If you want another relic weapon for a different job, you will just need to talk to the “House Manderville Artisan” next to Gerolt and give him three more Manderium Meteorites.

Step 2: How to make an Amazing Manderville weapon

This is a glowing version of the weapon from step one. It’s item level 630. This part of the relic weapon quest line was added in patch 6.35.

  1. Complete the Manderville quests “The Spectacle of Inspection,” and “Generational Bonding” which were added in patch 6.35.
  2. Talk to Gerolt in The High Crucible of Al-kimiya in Radz-at-Han to start the quest “Well-oiled” as the job you want the weapon for.
  3. Head to Jubrunnah in the main Aetheryte plaza of Radz-at-Han.
  4. Exchange Allagan Tomestones of Poetics for 3 Complementary Chondrite. One condrite costs 500 tomes.
  5. Turn the items in to Gerolt.

That’s all for this step! If you want another relic weapon for a different job, you will just need to talk to the “House Manderville Artisan” next to Gerolt and give him three more Complementary Chondrites.

Step 3: How to make a Majestic Manderville weapon

This is a new weapon design. It’s item level 645. This part of the relic weapon quest line was added in patch 6.45.

  1. Complete the Manderville quests “By Agents Unknown” and “Not from Around Here,” both of which were added in patch 6.45.
  2. Talk to Gerolt in The High Crucible of Al-kimiya in Radz-at-Han to start the quest “A Spirited Reforging” as the job you want the weapon for.
  3. Head to Jubrunnah in the main Aetheryte plaza of Radz-at-Han.
  4. Exchange Allagan Tomestones of Poetics for 3 Amplifying Achondrites. One achondrite costs 500 tomes.
  5. Turn the items in to Gerolt.

That’s all for this step! If you want another relic weapon for a different job, you will just need to talk to the “House Manderville Artisan” next to Gerolt and give him three more Amplifying Achondrites.

Step 4: How to make a Mandervillous weapon

This is the last step, added in patch 6.55. It’s item level 665.

  1. Complete the Manderville quests, “Of Duplicity and Duplication” and “Gentlemen at Heart.” These were the two new quests added in patch 6.55, and they involve you beating up Asura in the Gilded Araya.
  2. Talk to Gerolt in The High Crucible of Al-kimiya in Radz-at-Han to start the quest “Resonating with Perfection” as the job you want the weapon for.
  3. Head to Jubrunnah in the main Aetheryte plaza of Radz-at-Han.
  4. Exchange Allagan Tomestones of Poetics for 3 Cosmic Crystallites. One crystallite costs 500 tomes.
  5. Turn the items in to Gerolt.

That’s it! You now have the strongest Endwalker weapon possible. As mentioned above, this relic weapon quest line requires much less heavy lifting than in past expansions, but we’re not complaining. Grinding out tomes can still be a pain, if you’re not running roulettes frequently.
